What is the Tinsel Trail?
The Tinsel Trail is a display of live Christmas trees during the month of December. An anticipated 100 trees will decorate Wateree River Veterans Park for the holiday season.
Where is it located?
The Kershaw County Tinsel Trail will be located at the Wateree River Veterans Park.
Who organizes this event?
The Tinsel Trail is organized by Kershaw County Parks and Recreation. The purpose of this event is to encourage, support, and promote the ongoing cultural, aesthetic, social and economic vitality of Kershaw County.
Who decorates the trees?
Each tree is sponsored by a local corporation, group or family, and decorated by its sponsor. Trees can have themes that match the company’s mission, or sometimes they’re just totally unique! Each tree will be provided with a sign that includes the sponsor and decorator’s names.
How many years has the Tinsel Trail been presented at the park?
This will be the Tinsel Trail's second year! The Kershaw County Tinsel Trail will be one of the largest walkthrough Christmas light festivals in South Carolina.
When does the Tinsel Trail open & how long does it last?
Tinsel Trail will open on Wednesday, November 30th, 2021 and run until January 2rd, 2023.
Do I have to pay to attend Tinsel Trail?
No. This is a FREE community event. Food trucks and other vendors may be present, so always have some money available to help support a local business.
What are the hours of the Tinsel Trail?
The Tinsel Trail is open to the public daily until 9:30 pm. Trees are lit from dusk until 9:30 pm each night.
